about

James "Brucher" Ocampo, otherwise known as A-REB-REG, Procopio Kills All, the electronic wing of post-industrial trio Goodbye Yesterday Hello Today, guitarist of post-hardcore band Cadenzabler, and member of producer clique Pixel Collective - amongst a whole of bunch of other things we fucking bet - has been tinkering with this project of his for only 6 months now, so we're mad stoked to drop his first proper release on your heads.

Hopefully the impact would break your spine, leaving you paralyzed from the neck down, so you have no choice but to listen to this manic collection of panda jam bangerz.

Trying to pin down A-REB-REG's sound is a near impossible task tbh. I Thought Maybe jumps around genres more times than a raver hopped up on MDMA and his ADD meds. There are Deftones and Limp Bizkit samples on one hand, Portishead samples on the other, both of which are glitched into near oblivion that you start second guessing if you're hearing that shit correctly. Now think of pairing that with something that somehow resembles hiphop and trap, but clearly isn't hiphop and trap, and you're not even close to what A-REB-REG would even sound like.

We'd just call it Nu-Plunder, as in the new school of plunderphonics. Because quite frankly, Bruchy baby here just doesn't cut up and collage a bunch of tunes, dude also takes a Photoshop blade tool into genres and extracting with X-Acto precision large chunks of it, making something completely his own.

It's manic, chill, dark, lit, speedballing, can't sit still, and floating in space music. It's all that and a bag of chips.
